These boys are my everything. Including the shirtless human in the background.
These boys are my everything. Including the shirtless human in the background.
So, I’ve been meaning to post these for a while. I figured it’s been at least a week or so since I’ve blogged pics of the boys being lazy.
As a side note, my domain was approved for Twitter cards today, so previews and thumbnails render in Twitter clients. Super awesome!
I caught them spending some time together. Jack wants everyone to believe he hates Spencer, but secretly he can’t imagine life without him.
Here’s Spencer enjoying a little Alanis Morissette.
Pro snuggler.
A combined birthday celebration for Jackson and Spencer. My boys are all grown up; grey hair and all!
So amazing out today.

Taking advantage of this fabulous weather and took the boys up for a walk around the lake in Prescott again today.
They were pooped; holding hands on the ride back home. Bliss.
Great weekend. Yesterday, we too a totally unplanned quick trip up to Prescott, AZ. It was our first time up there. The mountain air was amazing and it was in the 70s. We brought the boys with us; only took about 2 hours to get there.
First, we stopped downtown at the ‘square’ and walked around; there was a festival going on and swarms of people out and about, having picknicks on the grass and just hanging out. So many dogs! Very dog-friendly city.
After that, we headed to Lynx Lake. Took a short walk around the lake and found a nice secluded area where Jackson and Spencer got to experience a lake swim for the first time. Non-chlorinated water! Initially, they both just stared at the water, unsure of what to do. I tossed a rock in the water and once it made the thump/splash, Spencer knew just what to do. Jack, of course, had to whine and freak out for about 30 seconds before he jumped in, too. I got my camera out and recorded some video. Clearly, Jackson got pretty comfortable quickly because one of the first things he did was attempt to retrieve a stick that was lager than he was (in the video). We found a more appropriate sized stick and had a blast wearing them out for a while.
Really loved it – it was so close and so easy to take a quick little day-trip up there. Can’t wait to go back!
My sweeties.
They saw something move in the distance.
Happy Labor Day
Wow, how time files. It’s been weeks since I’ve posted anything here. Here’s a quick stroll over the past 2+ weeks since my last post:
So sweet.
Orlando bound!
Went to the Columns Drive Chattahoochee River Park today with Terry and the boys – it was so nice out! Afterwards, I took a quick drive around some of the old neightborhoods I grew up in and 2 of the houses we lived in. Memories!!! I used to ride my bike all over that place. Good times.
Just got home from taking the boys on a nice walk around the UPS Global HQ campus. It’s a fabulous campus. They’ve got these great paths that wind all around the back of the property and around the buildings. There’s never anyone on them, so they boys get some off leash time and love sniffing around.
Nom nom nom…
Dear Spencer, #1 – I can totally see you. #2 – You are not a kitty cat. #3 – How did you do that?
No, doggie, MY BED!
Took two pretty good shots of the boys today. I can’t get over how much I love them.
Yesterday, for lunch, Terry and I took the boys for a nice quick walk on this little walking trail right here in our neighborhood. There wasn’t anyone around, so I saw this bench and had to take the photo-op.
One word: fabulous. Got to meet baby Drake, spend time with amazing people, great gifts, saw some friends we hadn’t seen in a long time, and ate some amazing food. Everyone loved the boys – they were so well behaved. Terry and I are very proud parents.
Hi, babies!
I adore this damn dog. Sleeping like a prince. Here’s video of the nap. I love how his paws wiggle:
Definitely well trained in maximizing the snugglability of couch pillows.
Caught sleeping with my snuggle buddy…
They both look pretty comfy.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the blondes:
This is Spencer, staring at me as I pack my lunch heading off to work. He’s very aware I’m leaving for the day. “Bye Momma!”
This is what Spencer looks like when he’s hungry. He gets ALL UP in your space and waits. His stare is piercing. It may look innocent enough, but he sits very still and is chanting to himself: “Feed Me, Feed Me, Feed Me…”
Mind if I use your ass as a pillow real quick? Thanks. Love, Spencer.
Jack loves being upside down
Boo hoo.
Woof.
Except my babies are furry babies.
I love this app. They’re so cute. Feeling well enough to go out for a little bit. Happy Saturday, everybody.
Spencer is a very happy dog. He wags his tail like a crazy-man whenever he is happy. Monday, however, he got a little too happy. He wagged his tail so hard, and whacked it against the table, that he broke the end open and bled all over the house, flinging more and more blood with each gleeful wag. Took about an hour to figure out it was his tail. He’s being good about not chewing the bandage off. As long as we’re around. So, Terry was home yesterday. Is working form home today, and I’m working form home tomorrow. We’ve got to get this to heal. The house looked like a scene from Dexter. The photos don’t do it justice. Oh, my big pony – what am I going to do with you?
Jack!
We like to cuddle.

Loves the blue Baby
I freaking love this animal. He’s my pony.
What a great weekend. Terry and I woke up on Saturday morning and took the boys to Desert Ridge for some shopping. We went to PetsMart and let them pick out new bones. Spencer was thrilled. They did good being out in public. We don’t take them out as often as we should, but they did great. We’re going to get better about socializing them and getting them out of the house more often.
After that, we took them to North Mountain for a quick hike.
I also went kind of app-download crazy this weekend, too. I downloaded a cool little app that lets me colorize photos. Here’s some of the fun I had with that:
When we were at Costco, I saw a Gingerbread House kit and couldn’t resist.
It was a lot harder to make it look like the one on the box than I thought. That icing was all over the place! :)
Saturday night, I went to Yard House for Bridgitte’s birthday. It was great! I didn’t go to Sandbar afterwards; the hike earlier drained my energy, so I was zapped. Terry and I went home and crashed. We’re cool like that.
Yesterday, Terry and I focused on getting some packing done at the house. We took all the art off the walls and staged it in the guest bedroom for moving. It looks so drab and sad in there now. Makes it feel all that much more real. Looking forward to the move – but most of all, looking forward to being extra-prepared so moving day is as simple as possible.
Thank goodness it’s a short week. Really excited to see Leah and Mark on Thursday for Thanksgiving.
Back to it. If you’re reading this: you’re awesome.
These two make everything better.
During the garage sale?
Jack and Spence
Jackson and Spencer slept all day while I was working from home. I want their life.
Watch out! He’s gunna get a chikn’!
Napping while I work. So cute.
I love playing with my dogs. Especially wrapping them up in blankets and giving them ear rubs.
Having fun on a Saturday. I love these dogs so freaking much.
Jackson and Spencer turned 5 this past week. I can’t believe they’re getting up there! We love our boys so much. Here are two videos of them being extra cute. :)
Today was great! Kristen, Shawn, Terry, me, Jackson, Spencer, Sheila and Kira went down to Tempe Town Lake for the AAWL/SPCA Walk to Save Animals. It was great! It was rainy for the first 20 minutes, but it cleared up! We got snow cones and watched some performances, went on the 5K walk, came back for some food and checked out the booths and Jack took a pretty good first stab at an agility course!
Jackson and Spencer Eating a Bone
These poor dogs:
Last weekend we went through the house gathering things for this weekend’s garage sale and came across a bunch of Terry’s old ties. We couldn’t put them in the ‘sale’ pile until we got a few good photos out of them…
Yay! What a great weekend! Saturday and Sunday got some pool time in, got errands and chores all done, and got the news that Aubrey passed her state exam to become a RN! Got some video of Spencer having a blast at the pool this weekend, too:
I love these shots. Got some really good ones.
Oh, the early days
