Breakfast with Leah and Mini-Hike

Having a great morning, so far. Woke up early to drop mom off at Usher’s for the day so Aubrey and I could use her car while she’s at work. Met up with Leah to have a belated-birthday-breakfast at Flying Biscuit. Mmm, apple butter!

Came back to the cabin. Fisher was watching Aubrey put makeup on and we did some yoga poses. He’s a PRO at Adho Mukah (down-dog). We also did Mountain Pose, Balasana, Urdvha Mukah, Chataranga and Utanasana. He’s so adorable.

After that, we put Fisher on Aubrey’s back and went for a little mini-hike around the cabin.

Daily Photo

So, I buzzed my head last month. I do it most every summer. I love the faux-hawk, but change is always good and I really enjoy the low maintenance. There’s a snazzy program, Yawcam, that takes a picture of me every morning when I get to work via my webcam and automatically uploads it via FTP and via the magic of RSS, it automagically posted to my webcam page. Once it all grows back, I’m going to string them all together and make one of those cool videos where you watch my hair grow back. I started off just letting the program take a snapshot at random times, but I think I’m going to actually go manual with it and smile at the camera. I’ve had to delete some unfortunate facial expressions.

New Buddy

This cute little guy has been hanging around our front door for the past few days. He’s a lot bigger in person than this picture reflects. He stays very still most of the time, but when he’s zeroed in on a bug he’s about to eat, he’s ferocious! The boys, Spencer especially, are very interested in him. Hope he sticks around. I’ll have to come up with a name.

Toasty

Jack’s new nickname this summer has been “Toasty”
