Welcome Back, James
I. Love. My. Co-Workers.
Last December, they sent me off to Atlanta with a really touching framed picture of the “Top 10 Reasons why we’ll miss having James Bradley Adamthwaite in the Scottsdale office”… well, I got another list today during my welcome back lunch at Pita Jungle. This one was “Top 10 reasons why James really moved back to the Scottsdale office” – the last item on the list was a bit.ly link to the following video.
They are so awesome. Thank you, guys.
I think my favorite part is Kristin’s unmistakable chuckle right at the end when it cuts to Rick Astley. Classic. #loveit
Night Out
Had a fab evening with Nicci in town last night. Went out for an amazing salad at Brick Store Pub, went to Lowe’s for paint samples and had a great time arguing over which blue was too light. Love you, Nicci.
Quick Reunion
Yesterday, Terry and I took a quick trip to Royston to give our old mattress to his mom. On our way back, we stopped in Flowery Branch and had BBQ and a doggie play date with EJ, Drew and Susan. So great to see them – it had been way too long.
Porch View
Some shots from the porch on the 3rd floor off of the master bedroom. It’s actually pretty secluded and private back year. And green.
Game Night
Last shout before we start packing up. Had Leah, Mark, Johan, Arianna, Paul and Nicci over for Leah’s Green Pizza and games. Good times.
River Walk
Went to the Columns Drive Chattahoochee River Park today with Terry and the boys – it was so nice out! Afterwards, I took a quick drive around some of the old neightborhoods I grew up in and 2 of the houses we lived in. Memories!!! I used to ride my bike all over that place. Good times.
Saturday Trip to Royston, GA
Today was bliss. The weather was amazing. The epitome of a beautiful spring day in north Georgia. Terry and I drove up to Roystson today with the boys. First, we went to his mom’s house and saw her and Laurie, along with adorable Hannah Grace. Went to a cute BBQ place for lunch and Libby made Terry a strawberry shortcake at home afterwards. Left there around 3pm and took a detour through Elberton to visit the Georgia Guidestones. They were impressive; a little smaller than I was expecting. Glad I’ve seen them for myself. After that, we went over to his dad’s place. So nice to see him and Barbara. The logs loved being out in his backyard, sniffing around at all the tractors and such. Barry was sharing a big bag of peanuts with us as we drank sweet tea on the back patio and the next thing I knew he was showing me his automatic peanut shelling gizmo. So cool! After that, we took a little walk over to his garden. Pulled a turnip right out of the ground, dusted it off with my hand, and took a bite of it. Was so good! Right out of the ground… Made me really want to start growing my own food! Seriously, today was totally awesome.
Downtown
Hung out with Nicci today. Had a bite to eat at a great sandwich shop and hung out with her before she wen to work. Enjoyed a delicious GA summer evening in her backyard.
Pollen Everywhere
There’s a light dusting of pollen covering just about everything here in Atlanta. *achoo!*
Conference Calls in 3D
Today, my company had an ‘all-hands’ conference call. Unlike the last one, this one was in 3D! Well, some slides were. POW!
Spring in Sandy Springs
Get it? Ha! Went out for Willy’s yesterday with Leah and Jonah. Snapped a few shots when we got home. This is the tree right outside our front door – it’s beautiful. Also, Jackson has this really, really strange habit of only going for a P under bushes. Of course, he can’t be like a normal dog and just P on a tree or something; he’s got to slowly wiggle under a shrub and go. He. Is. So. Strange. But I wouldn’t want him any other way.
Jonah and Uncle James at Grindhouse
Leah, Mark, Arianna, Paul and I went to Grindhouse Killer Burgers last night for Mark’s birthday. Had a great time – and a great burger. Leah snapped the following shot of Jonah and I. I freakin’ love that child.
Just Me and the Boys
Just got home from taking the boys on a nice walk around the UPS Global HQ campus. It’s a fabulous campus. They’ve got these great paths that wind all around the back of the property and around the buildings. There’s never anyone on them, so they boys get some off leash time and love sniffing around.
Nicci Time
Had a fabulous evening out with Ms. S. Nicole Boroski last night. Went to her place for some amazing Green Curry (pictured) and then went over to 7 Stages to see Invisible Man. It was pretty good. A little slow, great actors… and the hot naked boys in the bathtub together didn’t hurt at all. Love you Nicci.
Hi Jack
Brace yourself. I’m posting yet another pic of Jackson up here. I just can’t get enough. He was making the cutest grunting sounds when I took this.
Quinoa and Black Beans
Getting back in the groove with Quinoa and Black Beans. The veg on top adds just the right crunch.
Night out with Nicci
Shots taken from last night, hanging out with Nicci Boroski in Little 5 Ponts. Ran into Eileen Edwards, dance teacher from high school. Crazy!
Helen and Libby
Had such an awesome afternoon! Believe it or not, after ten years, my mom met Terry’s mom for the first time. Libby and Butch drove down from Royston, and we met mom and Bob for lunch at Brookwood Grill and then came for coffee back at our place.
